My Services

Speech Therapy & Executive Function Coaching

Speech Therapy

Initial evaluations are 75-90 minutes to allow time to get to know you and your needs, discuss strengths and weaknesses, get input from caregivers as needed, and complete multiple assessments. I aim to complete evaluations in person if possible. Assessments consist of a combination of objective and subjective tests such as a standardized cognitive test and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMS). After reviewing all information and scoring assessments, we will discuss results and my impressions at the next session and nail down our target areas to focus on in treatment. We will also talk about goals that are important to you.

Treatment sessions are 50 minutes and can be in-person or virtual. After brain injury or related diagnoses, I support clients who have difficulties in the areas of cognition (thinking), language (speaking and understanding), speech production/articulation, swallowing, voice, and social communication or pragmatics. Reading and writing are also forms of language that may be impacted by conditions such as aphasia.

Cognition includes areas such as memory, attention, problem solving, mental flexibility, decision making, organization, planning, & self-monitoring. I work with clients of all severity levels (mild, moderate, and severe) and meet clients where they are in their journeys. Some may be in the acute phase while some may be years post-injury. Invisible injuries such as challenges with thinking or language skills can impact a client’s life just as much as a visible injury, and I’m here to support you!

Executive Function Coaching

Executive function (EF) skills are crucial for daily tasks and essential in areas of our lives such as work and school. EF coaching can be particularly helpful for individuals with ADHD. It is a collaborative process between the “coach” and “client” where I provide practical strategies and accountability to optimize executive function skills depending on that client’s needs. Areas addressed include organization, attention, planning, time management, and more. I can also provide strategies for high school & college students or working professionals in these areas. My goal is for each client to have more streamlined, consistent, and efficient systems to reduce mental overwhelm for improved quality of life.

EF coaching intake sessions are 60-75 minutes and treatment sessions are 50 minutes which can be in-person or virtual. EF coaches come from various backgrounds- I use my training and expertise as a speech language pathologist to offer this service. I am excited to offer EF coaching to teens & adults who struggle in this area- not because of a brain injury but because of how their brains are naturally wired.
